Daily Recaps

Daily Recap – October 26, 2020

Some encouraging news on the injury front. Kenyan Drake’s x-rays last night were negative, and the MRI today revealed a high ankle sprain. He should be sidelined 4-6 weeks. Jonah Williams’ neck injury was deemed not serious, and sounds like at most he might miss this coming week. Meanwhile, no new news on Landon Collins’ MRI for his possible Achilles tear.

The regular season of the Japan Softball League ended today, and Kelly Kretschman’s team, Toda Medics, did not advance to the playoffs, which means there’s a real possibility that we’ve seen Kretschman play for the last time. She was 0-4 in today’s finale, and her final AB was a ground-out to first base.

With Week 8 underway in Miami, Tua Mania has arrived. Here’s another round of media write-ups from south Florida anticipating Tagovailoa’s first start.

On a lighter side, the CBS affiliate in Miami has produced this jingle dedicated to Tagovailoa.

Eddie Jackson scored his 6th career defensive touchdown Monday night, adding to his Alabama record of defensive touchdowns scored in the NFL. Tonight’s TD was an 8-yard fumble return.

Highlights from tonight’s game.

  • Jared Mayden – reverted back to San Francisco’s practice squad.
