The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that Kira Lewis Jr. has officially signed his rookie contract with the team.

USA Basketball finished up its latest round of AmeriCup qualifiers with a 94-78 win over Mexico in Indianapolis. Levi Randolph played 34:32, which was 7 minutes more than anyone else on Team USA. Randolph finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists. Next round of qualifiers will be in mid-February.

Isaiah Buggs and D.J. Fluker were both activated off the COVID-19 list today, and should be available for the Pittsburgh/Baltimore game (that’s now on Wednesday). Both were placed on the list late last week as close contacts, and have now been cleared.

Tests today showed that Josh Jacobs suffered no structural damage with his ankle injury yesterday, so he’s week to week at this time.

Per Next Gen Stats, Quinnen Williams set career-high marks in QB pressures (6) and pressure rate (18.8%) in yesterday’s game. His QB pressure rate has increased from 5.8% last year to 10.2% this season.

Former Alabama golfer and current Vanderbilt Men’s Golf assistant coach Gator Todd was a recent guest on the Chili Dip Pod. Todd talks about his time at Alabama in the mid-2000s and his pursuit of a pro career, among other things.
