Former Crimson Tiders Lillie Leatherwood (track & field), Steve Nelson (golf), and George Teague (football) were named today as members of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2021. Congratulations to the new members! Bios and accomplishments are detailed in the linked press release.

Marlon Humphrey and Minkah Fitzpatrick put on defensive shows today in the NFL’s rare Wednesday game.

J.C. Hassenaeur got his first career NFL start at center today for Pittsburgh, replacing Marquis Pouncey, who went on the COVID reserve list. Hassenaeur, who had 26 career offensive snaps coming into today’s game, easily surpass his cumulative total. Hassenaeur spoke before on being ready when he got his opportunity.

Derrick Henry was named FedEx Ground Player of the Week for the second straight week. Here’s a piece looking at how Henry is turning heads around the NFL.
