Charlotte Morgan has been named the head softball coach at Cal State Northridge. Morgan, the three-time All-American at Alabama, has previously served as an assistant coach at UT-Arlington, Oklahoma State, and Georgia Tech, as well as head coach of the Akron/Cleveland franchise in the National Pro Fastpitch league. Most recently, she served as a volunteer assistant at Cal State Fullerton.
Cam Sims had a career-high 5 receptions for 92 yards today, as Washington defeated previously-unbeaten Pittsburgh 23-17. Among Sims’ catches today were receptions of 29, 30, and 31 yards – all three of which led to scoring drives totaling 13 points (TD, 2 FG). Some of Sims’ catches were of the circus variety.
