Josh Jacobs’ attorneys released a statement today that Jacobs won’t be facing DUI charges related to his single car accident last week. Jacobs will only face a misdemeanor charge of failure to maintain due care. The Clarke County DA’s office stated that its investigation determined that Jacobs’ blood alcohol content was below the legal limit.

The Athletic had a lengthy piece on Tua Tagovailoa today, covering his journey from Hawaii to Miami. The piece closes with a nugget about Tagovailoa launching plans for his foundation between now and the Super Bowl.

Gehrig Dieter and Shaun Dion Hamilton were both waived today by their respective teams. Dieter, who’s team is still in the playoffs, could be end up back on Kansas City’s practice squad if he goes unclaimed. Hamilton will be a free agent if he clears waivers.

NESN has a piece on the ties between the New England Patriots and Alabama draft picks.

Collin Sexton was announced as part of the starting lineup tonight, but after going through warm-ups, Cleveland determined that Sexton wasn’t ready to go. He missed a third straight game with an ankle sprain.

Tony Mitchell signed with Peñarol Mar Del Plata of Argentina’s La Liga late last week, and made his debut last Thursday. Mitchell had previously signed to play this winter with AS Sale in Morocco, but the Moroccan league never did start its 2020-21 season.
