The early infatuation with JaMychal Green in Denver reached a new high after last night’s game. Nugget coach Michael Malone and star player Nikola Jokic in particular were effusive in their praise of the energy that Green brings to the game.

Rubicon Talent announced today that DeVonta Smith has signed with the firm for marketing and other off-field representation. Rubicon’s roster includes Mark Ingram and O.J. Howard.

Smith also announced that he’ll be doing a virtual event on various Dicks Sporting Goods social media platforms next week.

Christian Barmore signs with Young Money APAA Sports for player representation, and will be represented by Nicole Lynn. He joins Deonte Brown in this year’s draft class in signing with YM APAA, and they’ll join a roster that includes Quinnen Williams, Jedrick Wills, and Jalen Hurts.

Mac Jones is rumored to be signing with CAA for player representation.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Tim Williams for the 2021 season, and plan to play him as a defensive end. Williams spent a couple of weeks on Seattle’s practice squad this past NFL season.

ESPN takes a look at several offensive coordinator candidates for Miami, and how they could fit with Tua Tagovailoa.

Ralph Lauren announced today that it is terminating its partnership with Justin Thomas as a result of Thomas muttering a homophobic slur at a tournament last weekend. The company closed its press release with this half-measure: “As we make this decision, our hope is that Mr. Thomas does the hard and necessary work in order to partner with us again – truly examining this incident, learning, growing and ultimately using his platform to promote inclusion.”

Former Alabama Athletic Director Bill Battle apparently funded the softball scholarships for the seven members of last season’s season class to return for another senior season.

Former Alabama women’s basketball great Monique Bivins had her high school jersey retired at Thompson High School in Alabaster tonight. Bivins currently serves on the police force in Alabaster.
