Congratulations to O.J. Howard on winning a Super Bowl ring! Howard, on Injured Reserve with a torn Achilles tendon, was on the sidelines tonight as Tampa Bay defeated Kansas City 31-9 in Super Bowl LV.
Shelby McEwen opened his 2021 indoor season with a win in the high jump at the 3rd installment of the American Track League in Fayetteville, Arkansas. McEwen’s winning jump was 2.20 meters. Also at the ATL meet, Ruebin Walters finished 3rd in the 60 meter hurdles.
Condolences go out to Justin Thomas and his family on the loss of Justin’s grandfather, Paul Thomas, who died last night in Ohio at the age of 89. The elder Thomas played golf professionally before transitioning into a long career as an instructor and golf pro, and played in three majors (2 PGA Championships, 1 US Open) as a qualifier.
Filippa Fotopoulou set a new Cypriot national record in the women’s long jump today at a meet in Dortmund, Germany, with a jump of 6.52 meters. Fotopoulou finished 3rd at the meet.
Tevin Mack, who signed with Sigal Prishtina (Kosovo) this past week, scored 24 today to lead Prishtina to an 82-76 win over Ylli in the finals of the Kosovo Cup title.
