9-seed Alexa Guarachi / Desirae Krawczyk won their first round women’s doubles match against Belinda Bencic / Sofia Kenin 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (10-5). Match lasted 2:24. Kenin and Bencic are 4th and 11th in the singles draw, respectively.

Kira Lewis got early minutes for New Orleans again tonight, and finished with 10 points in 19 minutes in New Orleans’ 29 point win over Houston. Here are some highlights:

Stephanie Meadow is in a 2-way tie for the lead going into the final round of the Cactus Tour event near Phoenix.

Lester Cotton returns to the Raiders on a Reserve / Futures deal. He spent the 2019 season on the Raider practice squad, and eventually got 1 special teams snap at the end of the season. He was cut early in the 2020 offseason and did not play or appear on a practice squad last season.

TMZ Sports reports that Jedrick Wills and teammate Rashard Higgins, who had been cited for drag racing last month, pled guilty to a reduced charge of speeding, and each paid a $250 fine.

Cory Whitsett appears on this week’s Better Than I Found It podcast, which is hosted by Baylor golf coach (and former Alabama assistant) Mike McGraw.
