In Memoriam

Most of us woke up to the sad news that former Alabama defensive lineman Lorenzo Washington passed away at the age of 34 yesterday. Washington, a graduate of Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia, was signed by Mike Shula in the 2005 class, and would play for Nick Saban in the 2007-2009 seasons. He went undrafted in the 2010 draft, but was signed as a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys. He would go on to spend time in training camps and practice squads with the New England Patriots, New York Jets, and Detroit Lions. Former teammates will be paying tribute to Washington on the Riley and Constant Show tomorrow evening. RIP Lorenzo.
