Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Levi Randolph (Feb 22)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Levi Randolph. In a 127-111 Canton win on Sunday, Randolph scored 29 points on 11-for-13 shooting (including 5-for-6 on 3pt goals). Randolph also had a 12 point, 8 rebound game in another win during the week.

Runners-up this week are two track athletes – Kimberley Ficenec and Olivia Fotopoulou. At the Czech National Indoor Championships, Kimberley Ficenec won gold in the 800 meter with a time of 2:06.57, improving her qualifying time by over four seconds.

Though she wasn’t eligible to compete in any finals, Olivia Fotopoulou raced in the prelims at the Spanish Indoor Championship. She won her heats in both the 60 meter and 200 meter sprints, setting personal bests in both races. Her 200m time of 23.63 seconds is a new Cypriot national record, and her 7.35 second time in the 60m is 0.02 seconds shy of the national record.

Others of note:

Retin Obasohan led Belgium with 19 points and 5 rebounds in win over Denmark to clinch a spot in 2022 European championships. Obasohan was a team-high +24 and had a FIBA efficiency rating of 22.

Donta Hall had two double-doubles on the week. One was a 12 point / 16 rebound game in a 97-90 win, while the other was a 19 point / 10 rebound game in a narrow overtime loss.

Collin Sexton averaged 40 minutes and 24.3 points per game in 3 games this week.

Alana Gonçalo Da Silva averaged 12.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 4.5 APG in 2 one-possession wins.

Jonathan Hardee was co-medalist at the Monday qualifier for Korn Ferry Tour event.

Lee Hodges finished T7 on Korn Ferry Tour.

Stephanie Meadow finished 6th in a Cactus Tour event.

Ruebin Walters finished 2nd in 60m hurdles at the American Track League meet.

Arinn Young scored 30 points for the Rhine River Rhinos in a 68-63 win.
