Maruschka Waldus broke a 1-1 tie with a goal on a header at the 50′ mark to give Adelaide United a lead it wouldn’t relinquish. Adelaide would go on to win 3-1 in front of the largest standalone crowd in W-League history. Waldus was also named Player of the Game.

Collin Sexton, involved in a dust-up with a couple of Toronto Raptors at the end of the half, responded with a 36 point night on 6-for-9 shooting from behind the arc, as Cleveland coasted to a 116-105 win.

Today was Davis Riley’s turn to shoot at career-low round at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open, as he shot a 63 to finish T-14 (Lee Hodges also finished T-14). Riley’s round was one of three 63’s recorded today.

Detroit Tigers manager A.J. Hinch indicates that it’s unlikely that Spencer Turnbull will be back with the team before it breaks camp. Turnbull is away from the team in COVID protocol.
