Jasmine Walker was selected with the 7th pick of the WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks, breaking a drought of 16 years since the last time an Alabama player was selected in the draft. Walker joins Tausha Mills (2nd overall in the 2000 draft) as the only two Alabama first-round picks in the draft, and she’s just the 7th Alabama player drafted in the 24 year history of the draft.

Spencer Turnbull worked 4.1 innings in an alternate site game tonight, throwing 71 pitches while allowing 2 runs and striking out 2. He seems to be ready for recall next week.

Jaden Shackelford announced his intentions tonight to enter his name into the NBA Draft, but does not plan to hire an agent.

Good week on the developmental tours for both Jonathan Hardee and Joshua Sedeno. Both shot 70-65-70 at their events and finished with Top 5s (Hardee T2, Sedeno T3).

After missing two games with a groin strain, Collin Sexton returned to Cleveland tonight and scored 30 points in a loss to Golden State.

Alana Gonçalo Da Silva made her return to Ituano tonight, dishing out 8 assists in a 73-62 win.

Haylie McCleney was part of Easton Fastpitch’s softball glove launch today. The new line of specially-designed softball gloves will include a McCleney signature outfield glove, which will be available in May.

Mac Jones appears on the latest edition of Trey Wingo’s podcast.

Mac Jones and Landon Dickerson appeared together on the Paul Finebaum Show today, and discussed pitching themselves as a package deal to NFL teams.

Landon Dickerson is also the subject of an ongoing draft series in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Former Alabama receiver Antonio Carter and his wife Latoye have opened a bakery in Alabaster, and were featured on WVTM.
