Wade LeBlanc was signed by the Texas Rangers today and assigned to the Round Rock Express, where he made tonight’s start versus the Salt Lake Bees. LeBlanc surrendered home runs to the first batter he faced in the 1st inning and the final batter he faced in the 6th inning, but in between struck out 8 batters without giving up a walk.

Jimmy Nelson threw to live batters before the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game tonight. Manager Dave Roberts reported that Nelson will travel with the team to Atlanta this weekend if he feels well tomorrow, and will likely be activated then. Nelson also reported that he has been working on his tunneling while on the Injured List.

Tori McElhaney of The Athletic looks at the timeline of the apparent demise of the Julio Jones / Atlanta Falcons relationship in light of the all-important June 1 designation date arriving. More Julio Jones trade rumors from Josina Anderson, Charles Robinson, and The MMQB.

Eddie Jackson is partnering with PLB Sports and Entertainment on a cereal that will be available at regional Mariano’s market locations. Proceeds will benefit Jackson’s Remain to Reach Foundation.

Troy Renck’s latest Bronco podcast focuses on both Jerry Jeudy and Patrick Surtain II. In a separate media appearance Jeudy talked about how important timing is in his quest to improve in Year 2.

Dax Norris and Florida International are reportedly parting ways. Norris has been on FIU’s coaching staff for four seasons (3 years as a pitching coach, and the most recent season as a hitting coach).

Eryk Anders made a couple of recent podcast appearances in support of his June 12 UFC bout – with MMA Sucka and Cafe Fiasco.

Kenzie Wright makes her professional debut tomorrow at the Texas Women’s Open, which is sanctioned by the North Texas PGA chapter.
