The Philadelphia Eagles announced today that they have signed DeVonte Smith to his 4-year rookie contract. Total value of the contract is $20.1 million, which includes a signing bonus of just over $12 million. Smith also addressed the media late in the afternoon after the contract signing was announced by the Eagles.

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated Jimmy Nelson off the 10-Day Injured List today on the eve of its upcoming road trip.
The Stephen and Renee Bisciotti Foundation are honoring Ozzie Newsome by creating the Ozzie Newsome Scholars Program. The program is being funded with four $1,000,000 donations made in Newsome’s name to each of Maryland’s four historically black colleges and universities.
