Alonzo Gee has a new basketball outlet. He was drafted with the 8th overall pick by the Bivouac of the Big3 league tonight. The Big3, a 3-on-3 basketball league, will begin play in July.
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is participating in the Carolina Panthers’ current mini-camp on a tryout basis. Clinton-Dix had a similar tryout with the Houston Texans’ during its rookie camp a few weeks back, but wasn’t signed.
Detroit Tigers manager A.J Hinch reported today that Spencer Turnbull was headed to the Tigers’ spring training facility in Lakeland to continue his rehab. Turnbull is on the Injured List with a forearm strain.
Mandy Burford Johnson announced her resignation as the head softball coach at Samford University. Johnson leaves Samford as the program’s all-time winningest coach, with 237 wins during her time with the program.
