Alabama’s Olympic contingency grew by one today, as Shallon Olsen was named by Gymnastics Canada to the country’s Olympic team. Olsen repeats, having also represented Canada at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Additionally, Olsen was named to the Coquitlam Sports Hall of Fame yesterday, becoming one of the organization’s youngest inductees.

Lauren Stephenson shot an opening round 65 (-7) at the Meijer LPGA Classic to grab a share of the lead. Here are highlights from her round, which included 8 birdies.

Marlon Humphrey addressed the Baltimore media. He expressed excitement about the revamped Raven receiving corps, and stated that he wants to work on getting more interceptions this season.

Wade LeBlanc was granted his release from the Texas Rangers organization today so he could sign a major league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. LeBlanc had three solid starts for Triple-A Round Rock, including 7 shutout innings last week, to get the Cardinals’ interest. LeBlanc appeared in relief for St. Louis in Atlanta tonight.
