Erin Routliffe won her first career WTA doubles title today, at the Palermo Ladies Open in Italy. Partnered with Kimberley Zimmermann of Belgium, the duo won the tiebreak set 10-4 to claim the title. Routliffe previously has won 14 ITF Futures doubles titles, including one in Bonita Springs, Florida earlier this year.

In Olympic news, Shallon Olsen posted a strong 14.699 on the vault in the qualification round, which was good enough to advance her to the vault finals later this week. Olsen was 5th in the vault standings. In the pool, Rhyan White finished 6th in the Women’s 100m Backstroke preliminaries and 4th in the semifinals to advance to the finals..

Kira Lewis hosted his first-ever basketball camp yesterday at his high school alma mater, Hazel Green High School in Huntsville. Lewis also made a $25,000 contribution to the school Here are a couple of media reports on the camp.
