Kirani James ran his Olympics Men’s 400m semifinal in a blistering 43.88 seconds today, winning the heat and advancing to the finals as the top seed based on time. The lap was his fastest time since the 2016 Rio Olympics, and his first sub-44 second time since contracting and recovering from Graves Disease.
JaMychal Green agreed to terms with the Denver Nuggets on a new 2-year, $17 million contract. Green will again have a player opt-out option in Year 2. Green was scheduled to make $7.5 million this season in Denver, but exercised an option to out a couple of weeks ago.
An MRI today shows that DeVonta Smith suffered a slight knee sprain on Friday. He will be sidelined 2-3 weeks, but should be ready by Week 1.
