Daily Recap – August 11, 2021


Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who visited the San Francisco 49ers yesterday, signed with the team today, according to his agency. Clinton-Dix was released by the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 training camp and sat out the 2020 season. He has since had visits with a number of teams, as well as mini-camp tryouts with both Houston and Carolina.

Joshua Primo officially signed his rookie contract with the San Antonio Spurs tonight.

Jerry Jeudy was the talk of camp today, where Denver and Minnesota held a joint practice. Jeudy dominated opposing corners and scored on a long pass play with Denver QB Teddy Bridgewater, who later commented on Jeudy’s uncanny ability to get in and out of breaks. See multiple clips below.

Eddie Jackson discusses his return from a hamstring injury that had sidelined him at the beginning of camp.

Word out of Philadelphia is that Jalen Hurts will stop teammates in the hallway and will quiz them on aspects of the Eagles’ playbook.

Matt Foster was recalled by the Chicago White Sox prior today’s game.

Sarah Cornell shared some photos from her experience with the Amsterdam Pirates this summer. Cornell has appeared in both infield and outfield positions, in addition to pitching.

Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle both had media avails in Chicago today, where Miami is participating in joint practices. Both clips are below.

Anthony Averett had a media session in Baltimore, and discussed his confidence and comfort level with the Ravens defense as he enters a contract year.

Cam Robinson spoke to the Jacksonville beat at camp today, and talked about the team getting better every week. He expressed excitement in playing for Urban Meyer, who he compared favorably to Nick Saban.

Kelvin Moore and Kevin Jackson appeared on the Bama Standard last night.

Kira Lewis spoke to NBA TV at halftime of the Pelicans’ summer league game tonight.

Herb Jones appeared before the media after the Pelicans’ game tonight.
