The Tampa Bay Rays today announced the signing of David Robertson for the remainder of the season. Robertson has been assigned to Triple-A Durham to get into a routine before joining the major league club.

Herb Jones was signed by the New Orleans Pelicans to his rookie contract today. The team didn’t release details, but sources report that it’s a three-year contract (with a team option in Year 3) for $5.4 million.
Quinnen Williams was removed from the PUP List today, and cleared to practice (though he won’t play in this week’s preseason game). Williams also met with the media, and said he hasn’t scratched the surface yet on his potential. See full media session below.
Levi Randolph has reportedly signed with Filou Oostende of Belgium for the upcoming season. Oostende, which just won its 10th consecutive Belgian title, will play in the new Belgian-Dutch BNXT League this season, and will also play in the Champions League.
The New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles are holding joint practices this week in Philadelphia, which gives us the opportunity to see Jalen Hurts and Mac Jones on the fame field again. Hurts was stellar in practice today, going 16-for-17 (with a drop) on 11v11 drills.
DeVonta Smith returned to practice in pads today, though his work was limited to catching balls and running some routes.
Amari Cooper had his first appearance in pads today. Though he didn’t do much today, he was seen on the side discussing route-running with Cee Dee Lamb.
Joshua Primo was held out of San Antonio’s final Summer League game with a sore knee, as a precautionary measure. He was seen icing it post-game last night. Primo’s biggest takeaway from Summer League was to keep things simple.
Bo Scarbrough was waived by the Las Vegas Raiders. Scarbrough just joined the team earlier this month, and didn’t have much time to make an impression.
Cole Mazza suffered a shoulder injury Saturday night that’s going to cause him to miss time. He was seen at practice with his arm in a sling, and the Chargers signed another long snapper today as a precaution.
Davis Shore won the Forme Open Monday Qualifier in Ohio today with a -4 66.
Minkah Fitzpatrick is being more vocal in camp, and hopes to increase his leadership to match in on-field production.

Jalen Hurts appeared before the media after the joint practice with New England today. Hurts specifically talked about the work that he and his Alabama teammates put in to make it to the NFL.
Mac Jones spoke to the media in Philadelphia after New England’s joint practice with the Eagles today. He addressed a new knee brace that he said he was wearing today as a precautionary measure.
Quinnen Williams spoke to the New York media after his return from the PUP List today. He talked about how great it is to be back, how fortunate he is to play for Robert Saleh, and how he hasn’t scratched the surface yet on his potential.
