Alex Avila, who announced his intentions to retire at the end of the season after 13 seasons, played his final game today. Avila doubled in two runs in his 3rd at-bat for his final career hit. In the 9th inning, Avila took his position behind the plate, then was replaced by Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz, resulting in this curtain call for Avila:
Trevon Diggs became the first player in Dallas Cowboys history to record an interception in each of the first four games of the season. He would add a second interception to give him a league-leading five picks on the season.
Derrick Henry rushed for 157 yards and added another 20 receiving yards in a Tennessee loss in overtime. Henry now has 510 rushing yards through 4 games.
