Roman Harper was inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame tonight in Metairie. Harper played with the Saints from 2006-2013, then returned to finish his career there in 2016. Harper was named to 2 Pro Bowls, and won a Super Bowl with the Saints following the 2019 season.

The Atlanta Falcons placed Calvin Ridley on the Reserve / Non-Football Injury list today. He’ll now have to miss a minimum of three weeks, starting with Week 9.

Xavier McKinney was re-activated from the Reserve / COVID-19 list today after it was determined that his positive rapid test earlier in the week was a false positive.

Justin Thomas and Michael Thompson both shot 65s today at Mayakoba to get into the Top 5 following second round play. Both are -9, T5, 4 strokes back.

Final round play at the USA 1 qualifying tournament for the PGA Tour Latinoamerica was postponed until tomorrow due to heavy rains. Davis Shore currently holds a 2-stroke lead for medalist honors and a full-year exemption.

Herbert Jones cleared concussion protocols today, but injured his left ankle during warmups for tonight’s game, so he missed a second straight game.

John Petty made his professional debut tonight in Birmingham Squadron’s inaugural G League game. The Squadron won on the road in Greensboro, 128-117.

Alex Avila is taking part in a celebrity sandlot game in Dallas on Saturday as part of the grand opening of the Warstic flagship store there.

Henry Ruggs’ pending charges now include a charge of possessing a firearm while under the influence. He already has charges of DUI resulting in death, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm and reckless driving pending..
