Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – DeVonta Smith (November 15)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is DeVonta Smith. Smith scored two first-half touchdowns to lead Philadelphia to a 30-13 road in in Denver. Smith finished with 66 receiving yards in the game.

Runner-up this week is Mac Jones. Jones was 19-for-23 passing for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead New England to a 45-7 home win over Cleveland. Jones had season highs in completion percentage, touchdown passes, and QB rating (142.1 QBR).

Others of note:

Tua Tagovailoa, not expected to play, came off the bench as an injury replacement and threw for 158 yards in the second half to preserve a win. Tagovailoa also had a rushing touchdown.

Najee Harris had 133 total yards (105 rushing and 28 receiving) for Pittsburgh.

Mark Ingram had 108 total yards (47 rushing and 61 receiving), and became New Orleans’ all-time leading rusher.

Jalen Hurts threw for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns, and ran for an additional 53 yards in Philadelphia’s win.

Dont’a Hightower had 6 tackles and a sack in New England’s win.

Minkah Fitzpatrick had an 8 tackle game against Chicago and a 5 tackles game against Detroit.

Marlon Humphrey had 7 tackles and defended 2 passes for Baltimore.

Cierra Johnson scored 30 points in Riva Basket’s win.

Ar’mond Davis had 22 points and 5 rebounds in a Leeuwarden win.

Levi Randolph had 26 points and 6 rebounds in Oostende’s Champions League win, and also had 19 points and 5 rebounds in the team’s BNXT League win.

Retin Obasohan had 20 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds in Hapoel Jerusalem’s Champions League win.

Herbert Jones had 17 points and 5 rebounds off the bench in a New Orleans win.

Mykal Riley had 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists for Les Sables.

Joshua Primo had 28 points, including 5 3pgs, for the Austin Spurs.

Nick King had 24 points for Capo d’Orlando.

Braxton Key had 21 points and 8 rebounds for the Delaware Blue Coats.

Ricky Tarrant had an 11 point, 10 assist game for Ramat Gan.

Krystal Rivers had 18 kills and a 67% attack efficiency in a straight-set win.

Anton McKee finished 2nd in the 200m breaststroke at a International Swimming League meet.

Alexa Guarachi won a come-from-behind 3-set doubles match at the WTA Finals in Guadalajara.
