News
Brutal day for injuries for former Alabama players. In Las Vegas’ game, Kenyan Drake suffered an ankle injury which required a cart to get him to the locker room. Drake took to Twitter this evening to call for an end of the type of tackle that caused today’s injury (and last year’s high ankle sprain as well). In Baltimore’s game, Marlon Humphrey suffered a pectoral injury that kept him off the field late in the fourth quarter. Both injuries are pending MRIs this week, but are both believed to be season-ending injuries.
Jaylen Waddle had 9 catches for 95 yards today, before leaving the game with cramps. Waddle’s 8th catch, his 85th of the season, set a new Miami Dolphins franchise record for a rookie. Waddle also tied an NFL rookie record with his 6th game this season with 8 or more catches. Tua Tagovailoa was 30-for-41 passing for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Dolphin game. The Dolphins have now one 5 straight games since Tagovailoa entered Miami’s game in relief a few weeks ago.

Maruschka Waldus scored the lone goal of the game in PSV Eindhoven’s 1-0 win over Feyenoord Rotterdam. Waldus scored in the 64th minute on a rebound off a corner kick.

Nick King sank a basket with 1 second left to lead Capo d’Orlando to an 81-80 win over Piacenza in Italy’s Serie A2. King finished with 15 points. Tevin Mack led Capo d’Orlando with 25 points.
Justin Thomas shot a 64 in the final round of the Hero World Challenge to finish up with a Top 5 finish. In other golf news, Janie Jackson and Kristen Gillman survived the cut after the first week of Q Series. They’ll continue their quest to retain LPGA Tour status at the second half of Q Series this coming week.
