Daily Recap – December 12, 2021

News

Janie Jackson finished -19, 6th overall at the 8-round LPGA Q Series, and has earned a tour card for the 2022 LPGA season. Jackson was one of 5 2020 Symetra Tour graduates to the 2021 LPGA Tour, but was only able to get 8 starts with her Symetra graduate status (though she did make 6 cuts on those starts). She’ll have an opportunity to play in most of the full-field events in 2022.

Julio Jones and Rashaan Evans returned to the Tennessee Titans lineup today after extended absences. Jones, who was placed on Injured Reserve in mid-November, was activated yesterday. Though Evans never landed on IR, he has missed the last 5 games with an ankle injury.

Miller Forristall played in his first NFL game today for the Cleveland Browns. Forristall was signed to the active roster during the week because Cleveland was down two tight ends. In other debuts today, James Carpenter appeared in his first game as a New Orleans Saint. Carpenter was signed to the Saints’ practice squad during the week, and was elevated to the active roster for today’s game. And Saivion Smith appeared in his first game in 2021 with the San Francisco 49ers. Smith was signed to the active roster yesterday.

C.J. Mosley recorded a career-high 17 tackles for the New York Jets today. Mosley’s previous high was 16, which he reached with Baltimore in 2018.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that Derrick Henry is on track to return to the Tennessee Titans in time for the team’s playoff run.
