WBRC is reporting that Sam Shade has officially been hired as the head football coach at Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama. This will be Shade’s first college head coaching job. Shade most recently was the head coach at Pinson Valley High School, where he won a state championship in 2020.
Michael Thompson shot a -8 64 on the Torrey Pines North Course in opening round play at the Farmers Insurance Open. Thompson sits in solo 2nd through the first 18 holes. And of course, Thompson was asked about his beard post-round.
Kyle Moore has been named manager of the Bowie Baysox, the Double A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Moore has managed in the Oriole organization at the High A and Low A levels the past five seasons.
Lauren Stephenson has signed a sponsorship deal with global investment bank and advisory firm Stout.
