A’Shawn Robinson and Terrell Lewis are Super Bowl champions! Robinson recorded 6 tackles and a sack in Los Angeles’ 23-20 last-minute win over Cincinnati. Lewis was inactive, as he had been all post-season. Carson Tinker has been a part of the organization as well (we’ve chronicled his Tuesday-release, Saturday-resigning practice squad status the past two months). Erin Routliffe lost her doubles finals in St. Petersburg today in 3 sets; however, by reaching the finals, she’s going to climb into the Top 40 of the WTA doubles rankings for the first time ever when the new rankings are published tomorrow.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that Deshea Townsend has changed plans and will now join the Jacksonville Jaguars coaching staff. Townsend, who had most recently coached with the Chicago Bears, reportedly was set to join the Minnesota Vikings staff, but had not signed a contract.

Ricky Tarrant was released by his Israeli team, Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan. The release apparently wasn’t acrimonious, as the team thanked Tarrant in a social media post. Tarrant is reportedly signing with a team in Romania.
