Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Trevor Lacey (February 28)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Trevor Lacey. Trailing 70-63 at the 3:00 mark, Lacey scored 11 straight points to give Udine a 74-72 win over Torino. Lacey’s 3 point play with 6 seconds left gave Udine its 6th straight win.

Runner-up this week is Quanesha Burks. At the USATF Indoor Championships, Burks won her 2nd women’s long jump national title with a jump of 6.55 meters. Burks also won the 2020 championship.

Krystal Rivers had 23 points in Stuttgart’s 4-set win in the first game of its CEV Cup semifinal series.

Erin Routliffe won two matches and reached the quarterfinals of the WTA event in Dubai.

Lee Hodges finished T-9th at the Honda Classic for his 2nd career Top 10 finish on the PGA Tour.

Jonathan Hardee finished 8th on the GPro Tour.

Emmanuel Bor finished 2nd in the men’s 3000m at the USATF Indoor Championships in a time of 7:48.64. He qualifies for the World Indoor Championships.

Daniel Haugh finished 2nd in the men’s weight throw at the USATF Indoor Championships with a throw of 24.79 meters. He also qualifies for the World Indoor Championships.

At the Panhellenic Indoor Track and Field Championships, Olivia Fotopoulou finished 1st in the women’s 200m and 2nd overall in the women’s 60m.

Alana Gonçalo Da Silva had a 16 point, 6 assist game and a 15 point, 3 assist game in 2 wins for Melilla this week.

Cierra Johnson had 27 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 3 blocks for Riva Basket.

JaMychal Green had 20 points an 10 rebounds off the bench in a road win for Denver, and was +23.

Herbert Jones had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in a win for New Orleans, and was +20.

Braxton Key had 17 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks in a Delaware win.

Retin Obasohan had 18 points in Belgium’s World Cup qualifier.

Shannon Hale had 19 points in an overtime win for Barreirense.
