Saketh Myneni won his 27th career doubles title, and his 3rd of 2022, as he and Yuki Bhambri defeated top seeds Chandrasekar / Vardhan 6-4, 6-2 at the Futures Tour event in New Delhi.
Herb Jones and Josh Primo squared off as starters again tonight (with Nate Oats and Antoine Pettway in attendance), as New Orleans and San Antonio battle for a spot in the play-in tournament at season-end. Primo and San Antonio got the win, with Primo scoring 12 points and playing critical minutes at the end of the game.
Playing just in the first half Blake Sims threw for 3 touchdowns and ran for another to stake Frisco to a 30-0 halftime lead over Duke City. Frisco would go on to win 60-33.
Tamara Clark opened her 2022 outdoor season with a second-place finish in the Women’s 200 Meter Invitational at the Texas Relays. Clark’s time was 21.72 seconds.
Janie Jackson maintained her spot in the Top 10 at the JTBC Classic, shooting a third-round 69. Jackson sits at -9, T6, 5 shots back going into the final round. Stephanie Meadow’s 67 today has her at -8, T11 going into the final round.
Krystal Rivers and Stuttgart, fresh off a DVV Pokal Cup championship and a CEV Cup runner-up finish, returned to regular league play today and lost its first Volley Bundesliga game of the season. Stuttgart, now 19-1, lost in straight sets to 2nd position Potsdam.
Eryk Anders’ next UFC fight will be May 21 against Jun Yong Park.
