Herb Jones and Josh Primo will face off in the playoffs. Both the New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs clinched spots in the Western Conference play-in game late last night, and they’ll play at a time and place TBD next week in a single-elimination game. Winner will play the conference 8-seed to determine who advances to the conference quarterfinals.

Kirani James, Jereem Richards, Tamara Clark, and Quanesha Burks are all slated to compete at the USATF Bermuda Games this coming weekend.

The San Francisco Giants have assigned Brett Auerbach to the Richmond Flying Squirrels of the Double-A Eastern League. Auerbach split time last year between Low-A San Jose and High-A Emerald. Meanwhile, Casey Cobb will be returning to the Greenville Drive of the High-A South Atlantic League to begin the 2022 season. Cobb was promoted to Greenville mid-way through the 2021 season.

The Atlanta Falcons officially announced the signing of Rashaan Evans today.

Spotrac has learned that Braxton Key’s two-way contract with the Detroit Pistons extends through the 2022-23 season.

The New Orleans Pelicans’ in-house production The Squad has a segment on Kira Lewis and his surgery rehab. The Lewis segment begins at around the 5:30 mark.
