Adam Morgan has exercised the opt-out in his contract with the Houston Astros. The opt-out, which Morgan exercised yesterday, gave the Astros 24 hours to put Morgan on the major league roster or release him to seek another opportunity. The Astros apparently have decided to release Morgan. Thus far this season, Morgan has a 3.12 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 8.2 innings pitched.
