Annika Zeyen is a repeat gold medalist at the UCI Paracycling World Cup in Elzach, Germany. Zeyen won the handbike road race yesterday after picking up a silver in the time trials on Thursday. She completed the medal sweep with a bronze medal in the team relay trials today.

Laurie Williams and Jude Hamer and the Loughborough Lightning won the British Wheelchair Basketball Women’s Premier League championship with a 73-64 win over the East London Phoenix. Loughborough was undefeated throughout the regular season and playoffs.

Justin Thomas (T-5th) and Davis Riley (T-9th) held on for Top 10 finishes at the AT&T Byron Nelson, It marked the 7th and 5th Top 10 finishes this season for Thomas and Riley, respectively.

Dylan Smith picked up his second win on West Michigan’s homestand against Beloit. Smith pitched 5 innings, yielding just an unearned run on 4 hits, in the win.

Cobie Fletcher-Vance was all of Pensacola’s offense for 8 innings tonight, then sparked a 4-run bottom of the ninth to lead Pensacola to a 6-5 win over Rocket City. Vance had 3 hits an 3 RBI on the night, which included a 3-hour rain delay.

Kristian Gkolomeev closed out the Acropolis Swim Open with a win in the Men’s 50m Freestyle.

Merel Van Dongen and Atlético de Madrid concluded its season today with a 2-1 loss to Primera División champions Barcelona. Atlético de Madrid finishes 4th with a 17-5-8 league record.

Vincent Kiprop won the Gum Tree 10K in Tupelo, Mississippi yesterday. He was a full minute ahead of the next competitor.

Alex Avila will be part of the Detroit Tigers’ radio booth when the team plays the Tampa Bay Rays this week in St. Petersburg. Tigers are in town Monday through Wednesday.
