Alexa Guarachi and Erin Routliffe both had their runs at Wimbledon come to an end today, as both lost quarterfinal matches in the women’s doubles draw.

Tyler Gentry continues his assault on Double-A pitching. Gentry picked up a career-high 4 hits tonight and scored 4 runs (also a career high) in Northwest Arkansas’ 12-4 win over Tulsa.

Daniel Giddens has signed with Shonan United BC of Japan’s B3 League for the 2022-2023 basketball season. Giddens played with Union Neuchâtel of the Swiss Basketball League the past two seasons, and reached the league finals this past season. Shonan United will be playing its first season in the B3 League this coming fall.

Tommy Hunter is enjoying every aspect of his return to the New York Mets.

Community Outreach

Daron Payne will be hosting his annual football camp tomorrow at Shades Valley High School in Birmingham. The camp is from 4-7pm, and is free to children ages 7-17.

Media Appearances

Justin Thomas spoke to the media in advance of this week’s Genesis Scottish Open. Thomas described the field as being one of the deepest fields, outside of majors, that he’ll compete in all season.
