Haylie McCleney scored 2 runs and drove in 3 more with a bases-clearing double to lead the United States to a 5-0 win over Australia in the World Games semifinal match. Montana Fouts pitched the final two innings for the U.S. and struck out five batters. The United States will face Japan in the gold medal game tomorrow.

Morgan McCullough was promoted to Double-A Northwest Arkansas by the Kansas City Royals organization. He joins Tyler Gentry, who got the Double-A bump a month ago.

Justin Thomas addressed the media in advance of this week’s British Open at St. Andrews in Scotland. Thomas lamented his poor showing on links courses, and said that Tiger Woods has talked about coming back to beat him at St. Andrews for a year now.

Joshua Primo is out for the remainder of the Las Vegas Summer League after a positive COVID test yesterday.
