The Atlanta Falcons announced today that Courtney Upshaw will be a Bill Walsh Coaching Intern at training camp this year. Upshaw ended his professional career as a defensive lineman with the Falcons.

Cheyenne Knight turned in an opening round 65 (-6) at the Evian Championship, and is currently 4th in the LPGA major. Knight discussed recent adjustments that she’s made to her game.

Justin Thomas picked up the Best Athlete, Men’s Golfer award at the ESPY Awards.

AJ McCarron got a tryout with the Cleveland Browns today, as the team is anticipating the need for an extra back-up quarterback with starting quarterback Deshaun Watson facing a lenghty suspension. The Browns, however, ended up signing Josh Rosen, who was also trying out today.

“Heartfire,” which is captained by Tevin Mack, won the Albuquerque regional of The Basketball Tournament with three straight wins, and move on to the quarterfinals of the single-elimination tournament..
