Daily Recap – July 23, 2022

News

JaMychal Green, who cleared waivers today, reportedly took $2,628,597 less than his $8.2 million 2022-23 salary in his buyout with the Oklahoma City Thunder. That amount corresponds to the veteran minimum salary about, which he is expected to received from the Golden State Warriors once he clears waivers. Green apparently rebuffed an offer to join the Brooklyn Nets.

Quanesha Burks posted a wind-legal season best jump of 6.86 meters to advance to tomorrow’s finals in the Women’s Long Jump at the World Athletics Championships.

Robby Shelton shot a 64 in the third round of the Price Cutter Charity Classic to move up to solo 2nd. At -20, Shelton is 2 shots behind the leader. With a finish of two-way T14 or better, Shelton will mathematically clinch a spot in the Korn Ferry Tour Top 25 for the season and will secure a 2022-23 PGA Tour card.
