Wade Wass will receive his bachelor degree from Alabama on Sunday. Wass left the Alabama baseball program after the 2014 season to sign as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Angels organization, and would play parts of 5 seasons in the organization, retiring midway through the 2018 season.

Peyton Wilson singled in the third inning tonight to extend his hitting streak to 10 games.

The NFL pre-season got underway tonight, with Jacksonville facing Las Vegas in the Hall of Fame Game. Cam Robinson did not play for Jacksonville. Josh Jacobs, Alex Leatherwood, and Lester Cotton saw action for Las Vegas, while Kenyan Drake and Anthony Averett were held out.

Minkah Fitzpatrick passed his physical today and was cleared from the Active / Non-Football Injury list. Fitzpatrick injured his hand while riding a bike on vacation just prior to the opening of training camp.

Houston Texans head coach Lovie Smith, appearing on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, spoke about John Metchie and how the team is supporting him during his treatment.

Jaylen Waddle represented the Miami Dolphins at its Delivering Hope benefit recently, Through the program, the Dolphins and City Furniture donated 160 beds to children in need.
