News

Eryk Anders’ representatives Iridium Sports Agency announced that Anders will fight Kyle Daukaus at a UFC event on December 3 in what will be a middleweight bout. As announced earlier this week, Anders will co-headline a non-UFC light heavyweight bout later this month, so this clears up the question about whether or not Anders is still under UFC contract.

Lots of Alabama golfers posted strong opening rounds, starting with Robby Shelton’s opening 65, T-2nd at the Pinnacle Bank Championship. Janie Jackson opened at T-6th at the ISPS Handa World Invitational, and a strong finish could get her inside the Top 100. Lee Hodges and Michael Thompson both shot -5 65s at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and sit at T-8th.

Jake Walters took a big step forward in his return from elbow surgery tonight. Working on a 2-inning save with Beloit leading 4-2, Walters loaded the bases with one out in the 9th. He then struck out two batters, including the Tigers’ first round pick from last month’s draft, to end the game.
