The New Orleans Pelicans announced that it has signed John Petty to a contract. The team didn’t disclose terms of the contract, but it is believed to be an Exhibit 10 training camp contract, which would allow the team to allocate Petty to its G League affiliate after training camp.

C.J. Mosley left Baltimore via free agency after the 2018 season. Surprisingly, Mosley will face his old team for the first time this weekend.

Shaun Dion Hamilton, released in training camp by the Detroit Tigers, is remaining with the organization as a defensive assistant.

Dylan Smith posted one of his best outings of the season in a shutout win for West Michigan. Smith pitched 6 scoreless innings, giving up just 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6 batters (all swinging).

Najee Harris says the advice he received from head coach Mike Tomlin was “to be himself.”

The Utah Jazz officially announce the acquisition of Collin Sexton.
