Landon Collins practiced with the New York Giants for the first time today since being signed to the team’s practice squad last week. Collins talked to reporters at his locker after practice, and discussed the circumstances around leaving the team as a free agent four years ago.
Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones both returned to practices today with their respective teams, both on a limited basis (see clips below). Tagovailoa has reported met with four independent specialists to consult with him about the timing of returning to the field.
Elsewhere, Alex Leatherwood, who’s been on the Reserve / Non-Football Illness list, was designated to return today, and practiced with the Chicago Bears.
Alexa Guarachi and Erin Routliffe faced each other for just the 3rd time in their professional careers today, and for the first time in a WTA doubles event. The two Alabama graduates previously met in a mixed doubles match at this year’s Australian Open and in an ITF Futures women’s doubles match in 2017, with Routliffe winning both matches. Guarachi came out ahead today in a tight 3-set match.

Henry Ruggs’ preliminary hearing before a Las Vegas judge has been delayed again, this time until February 1, 2023. Ruggs has pending charges related to a November 2, 2021 wreck which killed the driver of the other vehicle.
