Christian Harris was activiated from the injured reserve list by the Houston Texans today, and is poised to make his NFL debut tomorrow. In other roster moves, Landon Collins will begin his second tour of duty with the New York Giants tomorrow, as the Giants have elevated Collins from the practice squad for Week 7. Collins was signed the the Giants’ practice squad two weeks ago.

Former Alabama player and assistant coach Sylvester Croom was honored during tonight’s Alabama / Mississippi State game. Croom’s storied career will culminate with an induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in December.

Alabama Track & Field legend and Olympic gold medalist Lillie Leatherwood served as Grand Marshal of today’s homecoming parade.

Nick King and Dazon Ingram were both selected in today’s NBA G League draft. King went in the first round (24th overall) to the Windy Hill Bulls, while Ingram was selected by the Westchester Knicks in the third round.

Steve Sprayberry, an All-SEC lineman for Alabama in 1973, died in Birmingham yesterday at 70 following a brief illness. Sprayberry had a successful insurance business in Sylacauga after his playing days were over.
