News

The San Antonio Spurs organization made the shocking announcement this evening that it is waiving Joshua Primo. The team issued a statement saying “It is our hope that, in the long run, this decision will serve the best interest of both the organization and Joshua.” Primo, 19, was the Spurs’ 1st round selection in the 2021 draft, and just had his third year option picked up, so this doesn’t seem like a basketball move. NBA insiders Adrian Wojnarowski and Alex Kennedy were among those who had no information on the move.

UPDATE: Primo has issued the following statement to ESPN:

The New Orleans Pelicans have picked up the 4th year option on Kira Lewis.

Krystal Rivers was Match MVP in Stuttgart’s season-opening 3 set sweep of Suhl. Rivers had 20 points and a 71% attack efficiency in the win.

Robby Shelton, -13, is one of five golfers at T-2nd at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship after two rounds of play.

David Robertson, returning to the World Series for the first time in 13 season, has revenge on his mind when facing the Houston Astros. Robertson was part of the 2017 New York Yankees team that was eliminated by the Astros in 7 games. The Astros would go on to win the World Series, and the win was tainted a couple of years later when allegations of elaborate sign-stealing came to light. Robertson pitched a scoreless 10th to earn the save in Philadelphia 6-5 Game 1 win tonight.

Najee Harris is calling on teammates to be more accountable for the Steelers’ woes so far this season.
