Daily Recap – December 11, 2022

News

Jalen Hurts starred again in another Philadelphia win, as the Eagles clinched a playoff spot and advanced their record to 12-1. Hurts threw for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns, and ran for another 77 yards and a touchdown, as Philadelphia defeated the New York Giants 48-22.

Jerry Jeudy recorded the first mult-touchdown game of his career today, going for 3 red zone touchdowns in Denver’s 34-28 loss to Kansas City. Jeudy is the first Denver receiver to have 3 receiving touchdowns since the late Demaryius Thomas in 2014.

Jameson Williams’ first NFL reception went for 41 yards and a touchdown. It was Williams’ only target of the game. Detroit continued its recent surge with a 34-23 win over Minnesota.

Quinnen Williams left the New York Jets’ game today in the second quarter with a non-contact leg injury, but the diagnosis after the game was that Williams suffered a calf injury and will be day-to-day going into Week 15. Williams had two sacks prior to the injury.

Polly Mack shot a 76 in the 8th and final round of the LPGA Q-Series today, but she had built up enough cushion that she earned her LPGA Tour card for 2023. Mack finished T-15th, which earns her Category 14 status for next season. Janie Jackson and Jiwon Jeon both finished just outside of the Top 45, and will have Epson Tour status next season.
