DeMeco Ryans was formally introduced as the new head coach of the Houston Texans at a press conference this afternoon (see full press conference below). In his comments, Ryans expressed thanks to San Francisco organization for giving him his coaching start, and said that while he was thankful for the interest from other teams, there was nowhere else he would rather coach than “H-town.”

Riley Mattingly Parker’s NWSL debut will be on hold, at least for the time being. As part of a deal to bring Nigerian star Uchenna Kanu to Louisville, Parker will be on loan to Tigres of Liga MX (Mexico) through June 1. Parker agreed to a one-year contract with Louisville yesterday, and will apparently have the opportunity to make significantly more in Liga MX than she would under a standard NWSL rookie contract.

Jalen Hurts’ visit to a Philadelphia grill to make a Pepsi commercial last summer has “changed the lives” of the establishment’s owners, as Hurts has contunited to support the start-up business.

William Vlachos has been hired to be the defensive run game/pass rush coordinator at Western Kentucky. Vlachos most recently served as the offensive line coach at Central Michigan.
