Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said today that Jalen Hurts has “nothing to prove” to be viewed as the franchise’s long-term answer at quarterback. He added that “he’s just what we’re looking for.”

Tua Tagovailoa has left Steinberg Sports for Athletes First for contract representation. Athletes First was already handling marketing representation for Tagovailoa.

Laron White announced that he is retiring as head football coach at Sparkman High School. The former Alabama football player has coached for 20 seasons in the Alabama High School Athletic Association, and won two state titles at Tanner High School.
