Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Daniel Haugh (February 20)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Daniel Haugh. Haugh won the USATF Indoor Championship in the Men’s Weight Throw with a personal best throw of 25.44 meters, which ranks as the fifth-longest throw in the history of the event.

Others of note:

AJ McCarron threw for 2 touchdowns, a 3-point conversion, and a 4th-and-15 conversion in the final 1:25 to give St. Louis a come-from-behind win in the opening weekend of the XFL.

Retin Obasohan had 16 points and 7 rebounds for ASVEL in the championship game of the LNB Leaders Cup.  ASVEL won 3 games in 3 days to win the title.

Levi Randolph scored 11 points for Hapoel Jerusalem in its Israel State Cup Championship win.  Randolph also had 17 points and 5 assists in a Winner League win.

Collin Sexton had 18 points, 6 assists in one game.  He also was part of the winning skills competition team at NBA All-Star Weekend.

JaMychal Green had 14 points and 5 assists off the bench for Golden State.

Mykal Riley had 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists, and 3 steals for Besançon

Galin Smith had a 31 point game for Kataja.

Ar’mond Davis at 17 points and 11 rebounds for Kipinä.

Oceana Hamilton had a 23 point, 18 rebound game and a 22 point, 19 rebound game for Uppsala.

Shelby McEwen won the USATF Indoor Championships in the Men’s High Jump.

Robert Dunning finished 2nd in the Men’s 60 Hurdles at the USATF Indoor Championships in a personal-best time of 7.489 seconds.

Olivia Fotopoulou finished second in the Women’s 60 Meter at a Silver Tour event in Belgrade.

Kimberley Ficenec finished 2nd in the Women’s 800 Meter at the Czech Indoor Championships.

Dicky Pride finished T-4th on the Champions Tour.

Charlie Nikitas finished 4th in an Asher Tour event.

Lee Hodges and Justin Thomas finished T-18th and T-20th, respectively, at the Genesis Invitational.

Krystal Rivers had 23 kills and 2 block points in a win for Stuttgart.
