Shelton State head baseball coach Bobby Sprowl has been named Alabama Community College Conference Coach of the Year. Shelton State won the ACCC championship today to advance to the NJCAA World Series.

Sarah Edwards and Benedetta Moresco both qualified for the US Women’s Open at a qualifier in Atlanta today. Edwards, -7 over the 36-hole event, grabbed medalist honors. Moresco, -6, finished T-2nd, and won the 2nd available qualifying spot in a playoff.
