Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Jiwon Jeon (May 29, 2023)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Jiwon Jeon. Jeon picked up her first professional title at the Inova Mission Inn Championship on the Epson Tour. Jeon carded a -10 and won by two strokes.

Runner-up this week is Reyna Reyes. Reyes scored her first professional goal on a header off a corner kick in the 90th minute to give Portland a tie on the road vs San Diego.

Others of note:

Levi Randolph scored 18 points and 20 points, respectively, in Games 3 and 4 of Hapoel Jerusalem’s quarterfinals series to help the team advance to the next round.

Retin Obasohan had 16 points in 21 minutes in ASVEL’s quarterfinals clinching win.

Trevor Lacey scored 16 points in Vanoli Cremona’s opening game of its semifinals series.

Jada Rice had 12 points and 13 rebounds for Norwood (Australia).

Cheyenne Knight won her group at LPGA Match Play and advanced to the knockout stage.

Chase Lee picked up a win and a save for Round Rock.

Dylan Ray struck out 8 batters in 5 innings, and allowed just 1 run for Hillsboro.

Tommy Hunter had two scoreless outings with 3 strikeouts.

Brett Auerbach had a 3 hit game for Richmond.

Kimberley Ficenec won two races in two days in two different countries. She won Women’s 800 Meter and Women’s 1500 Meter races.

Kirani James finished 2nd in the Men’s 400 Meter at the LA Grand Prix.

Jereem Richards finished 2nd in the Men’s 200 Meter at the LA Grand Prix.

Alex Amankwah finished 3rd in the Men’s 800 Meter at the LA Grand Prix.

Emmanuel Bor posted a personal-best 13:10.91 in the Men’s 5000 Meter at the LA Grand Prix, finishing 5th.

LaBryan Ray had 3 tackles for loss, including two sacks, for Philadelphia.

Reuben Foster had 7 tackles and forced a fumble for Pittsburgh.
