Stephanie Meadow held on for a T-3rd finish at the KMPG Women’s PGA Championship, matching her best-ever finish in an LPGA major (Meadow finished 3rd at the 2014 US Women’s Open). The third place finish mark’s Meadow’s best finish since a third place finish at 2020 Pelican Women’s Championship. Meadow’s $423,070 purse for the T-3rd finish is the biggest single-week winnings ever by an Alabama golfer in an LPGA Tour event, surpassing Meadow’s $271,373 check for finishing 3rd at the aforementioned 2014 US Women’s Open.
Mac Jones was honored tonight by the Davey O’Brien Foundation for winning the 2020 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award. The ceremony had been delayed by COVID, then by professional commitments.
