Jiwon Jeon won for the second time this year on the Epson Tour, and moved up 3rd on tour money list (with Top 10 earning LPGA Tour cards). Jeon opened the day with a 3-shot lead over Kristen Gillman, and maintained that lead margin most of the day. For Gillman, 2nd place is her best finish on the Epson Tour, and her first Top 10 this season. She moves up to 16th on the money list.
Justin Thomas finished T-12th at the Wyndham Championship, which only good enough to get him to 71st in the FedEx Cup standings (only the Top 70 make the FedEx Cup playoffs this year). Thomas had a 40-foot chip for birdie on 18 that hit the pin and trickled away; he would have finished 70th had it fallen. Thomas had qualified for the FedEx Cup playoffs in eight consecutive seasons, and had played in seven straight TOUR Championships.
Andrew Pinckney capped off a strong first week in Single-A with his first professional home run today.
